Wake up, it’s time for School!

School starts on Tuesday (duh) and I realized some of the items on my list were ongoing, so I need to update on how those went! Here it is:

#6. Wake up every morning before 7:30 am.

It happened. Guys, it actually happened. I managed to drag my bleary self out of bed for the majority of the summer before 7:30. Success is sweet!

#19. Do 100 sit-ups every day.

Again, it actually happened. Do I have a six-pack yet? No, but hey maybe one day right?

#71. Walk el perro (dog) every day.

Except for a few burning hot humid days, Aud and me got in a daily walk pretty regularly.

#77. Go to the gym regularly/run regularly to get in shape for soccer.

It happened. Sort of. 🙂

#78. Take a picture every day of summer.

Completed!

#79. Go to the pool a ton. Perfect my cannonball.

My cannonball is the talk of the town, for your information.

#80. Get a dark tan.

Eh, not as dark as I would have liked, but I’ll take it over the sickly pallor I had before.

#93. Spend as much time outside as possible.

97.6% of my summer was spent outdoors.

#99. Actually do my chores.

My mother is happy that this one worked out.

So there you have it guys! I decided this post would be best if I kept it as short and sweet as possible. Sorry if I disappointed you. As for whether I shall keep this blog going, I’ve not decided yet. We’ll see where life takes me.

May the summer be ever in your favor,

Meagan

#11 Participate in a charity walk/run/event and more!

This weekend I was able to participate in a charity walk for Crohn’s and Colitis. If you missed the previous memo I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease this past April. To be entirely honest, when I added this list item I was thinking I would participate in something for cancer or AIDS research, not for my own disease since it’s not life-threatening. The opportunity was too perfect to pass up though, being that the walk was taking place relatively near my home and at a time I was available. However it was only a meer 2.5 mile walk, a cinch for me and really I feel like I didn’t get the full effect on this one. So while technically yes, I did complete this item, I’m hoping I will be able to participate in another charity event before the end of summer. Anyway if your interested in finding out more about Crohn’s and Colitis walks near you check out this website: http://online.ccfa.org

Another accomplishment I made over the weekend was to complete #24 Pick an offical summer song. What song did I pick as my anthem for summer? Titanium by David Guetta feat. Sia. Normally I try to stay away from any of Guetta’s cookie cutter pop music, but Sia’s voice is truly something magical. And I haven’t been able to get the song out of my head since yesterday, it’s just that addicting. I also think the lyric’s have a good message behind them, staying strong even when people are criticizing you. Yes, it’s not the deepest song out there, but at least she’s singing about something other than sex, drugs, and partying, which seems to be the norm of songs nowadays.

So overall I’d say this weekend was a complete and utter success, not only did I complete some list items, I also got to just splash around in the pool with friends and soak up the sun. Basically it was the perfect summer weekend. And once again I would like to say thanks to all of you who have read, commented, and supported my blog so far, you guys are so fantastically fabulous!

May the summer be ever in your favor,

Meagan
